Anyone can become a skilled interviewee.  This session covers all you need to know to put your best foot forward in a behavioral job interview.

By the end of this module, you will be able to: 

  • List the 5 types of interviews.

  •  Name the 4 key strategies for doing well in any interview scenario.

  • List strategies for building interview confidence.

  • Demonstrate techniques for building rapport and good “chemistry” in an interview.

  • Match your contributions to position requirements to build value and confidence.

  • Review and practice a S-T-A-R Matrix to handle even the toughest behavioral interview questions.

Session 3:

Building Strong Relationships and a Powerful Network

  • Explain the importance of business and personal networks in individual career success.

  • Define “Knowledge Network.”

  • List strategies and actions for building a strong, diverse network.

  • Practice skills to evaluate, improve, and manage your network.

  • Create and rehearse a 1- or 2-minute introduction of yourself for a network opportunity.

  • Describe and practice the 7 key network meeting strategies.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Describe what is meant by dealing “gracefully” with change and why the ability is critical to your career.

  • Describe normal reactions to change.

  • Recognize the “losses” and “gains” associated with any change.

  • Discuss the 5-stage grief cycle and strategies for moving more quickly to acceptance.

  • Develop an action plan for mastering change and putting it to work for you.
